Learning to Cook Simple Meals
Learning to cook simple meals has made me more independent and healthy. I started with easy dishes: scrambled eggs, pasta with tomato sauce, and salads. Following recipes taught me to measure ingredients and understand flavors— like how garlic and basil make tomato sauce taste better. Cooking at home is cheaper than eating out and lets me control oil, salt, and sugar, making meals healthier. It’s also satisfying: eating something I made myself feels like an accomplishment. Now, I experiment with new recipes— adding veggies to pasta or trying different spices. Cooking simple meals isn’t just about food; it’s a life skill that boosts confidence and makes daily life more enjoyable.
